Managing Exits from Armed Conflict (MEAC) will share emerging findings on child recruitment prevention and responsive reintegration programming at an invite-only panel discussion co-hosted by the Permanent Mission of Norway, the Permanent Mission of Colombia, the United Nations University-Centre for Policy Research (UNU-CPR), and the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR).
This discussion will feature new findings derived from focus groups, surveys, and participatory research work with children and youth in Iraq, Colombia, Nigeria, and the rest of the Lake Chad Basin. Experts, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers will then examine how policy and practice can be adapted to better address the vulnerabilities, needs, and aspirations of young people affected by conflict.
