The Friends of the Chair, together with UNIDIR and UNODA, are organizing an informal webinar on a BWC scientific and technological advisory mechanism. This webinar is intended to support ongoing activities of the BWC Working Group and stimulating thinking and discussion around a mechanism during the intersessional period. The event will consist of an expert panel followed by a moderated question-and-answer session with the audience.

- Clarissa Rios Rojas, Political Affairs Officer (UNODA) – The role of scientific advice in multilateral disarmament.
- Ljupčo Gjorgjinski, Senior Fellow with DiploFoundation – The evolution of discussion around an S&T advisory mechanism.
- Ourania Kosti (TBD), Executive Director of the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) – IAP proof of concept meeting on a BWC Scientific Advisory Body.
- Peter Babigumira Ahabwe, Technical Advisor, Uganda Ministry of Health – Closing remarks and next steps.
The event will be moderated by James Revill, Head of WMD Programme, UNIDIR.
