Dr. Renata Dwan, UNIDIR Director participated on 7-9 July 2020 in an Informal Workshop on Good Practices and Lesson Learned of Existing Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zones organized by UNODA. Dr. Dwan presented a paper during the workshop co-authored with Dr. Chen Zak, the ME WMDFZ Project Lead on the ways and means in which nuclear-weapon-free zones contribute to regional peace, stability and other political objectives.
