The UN Action against Sexual Violence in Conflict Network and the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) hosted an interactive roundtable discussion to reflect on arms control in the context of escalating sexual violence in Sudan. Based on the ongoing situation of concern, the goal of this discussion was to examine entry points in the work of UN Action members and Women Protection Advisers to integrate arms control and disarmament measures with the goal of strengthening CRSV advocacy and prevention efforts.
This roundtable discussion was open to UN Action Network member entities at HQ and in-country, colleagues and practitioners in the field who address CRSV, including Women’s Protection Advisers and in-country MARA Working Group members, as well as Member States and civil society organisations.
