This factsheet explores the link between artificial intelligence (AI) and the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda.

As the agenda marks its 25th anniversary this year, the factsheet examines how AI can represent both an opportunity and an obstacle to its realization. It also analyses the current integration of emerging technologies, such as AI, into WPS national and regional action plans.

Finally, the factsheet identifies areas for further action to better incorporate AI into the WPS Agenda and ensure it remains fit for purpose amid changing realities of peace and conflict.
