Vedika Pillai
Vedika Pillai is a Graduate Professional with UNIDIR’s Conventional Arms and Ammunition Programme. Her areas of expertise include locally led peace processes, inclusive governance and development in conflict-affected contexts across East Africa and South Asia.
She holds a Master’s degree specialising in Conflict, Peace and Security from the Geneva Graduate Institute, and degrees in Sociology, International Relations, and Peacebuilding from Lady Shri Ram College, the University of Delhi, and Sciences Po.
She has worked as a research and project assistant on multiple international projects with UNICEF, Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue, Global Fund and Legal Action Worldwide. Her published work includes co-authored reports for UNICEF Innocenti on gender-responsive social protection in Ethiopia, and ethnographic articles for the People’s Archive of Rural India on rural livelihoods, gender, and conflict in Kashmir.
Vedika speaks English, Hindi, Malayalam and has intermediate proficiency in French.
