Sunniva Reinertsen

Sunniva is a Graduate Professional in the Conventional Arms and Ammunition Programme’s exploratory research cell. Her expertise spans international peace and security, sustainable development, international human rights law, international criminal law and Northeast Asia.

She holds a Master’s in the Theory and Practice of Human Rights from the University of Oslo and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Hult International Business School, London.

Prior to joining UNIDIR, Sunniva interned at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Seoul, where she monitored security developments in East Asia and reported on the human rights situation in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. As an intern at the UN Global Compact Norway, she also supported the launch of a new UN initiative for cross-sectoral cooperation towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

Sunniva is fluent in English and Norwegian, has intermediate proficiency in Korean and German, and possesses basic knowledge of Mandarin and French.
