Lilliana Fan

Research Fellow Space Security

Lilliana Fan is a Research Fellow with UNIDIR’s Space Security Programme. She is a Research Scholar in Space and Planetary Law at New York University’s Institute for International Law and Justice and a graduate of the European Space Agency’s Summer Course on Space Law and Policy.

Lilliana serves as Research Co-Lead and Delegate to the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS) for the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), where she leads an international research team examining legal gaps in space data security governance and information sharing. She has represented SGAC at major international fora such as UNIDIR’s Outer Space Security Conference, the International Astronautical Congress, UNCOPUOS and the International Law Association. She has also authored four publications in the field of space law, and mentors participants in the Space4Women initiative led by the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs.
