Christian Bueger

Christian Bueger is a research fellow at UNIDIR and a professor of International Relations at the University of Copenhagen.

Bueger is widely known for his research on maritime security, including responses to blue crime, naval operations, maritime domain awareness and maritime security strategy.

He holds a PhD from the European University Institute and has held fellowships including at the National University of Singapore, the University of Stellenbosch and the University College London.

Bueger is the author of Understanding Maritime Security (with Tim Edmunds), published by Oxford University Press, and has explored issues of maritime security and international relations in over 180 publications.
