Chimdi Igwe
Chimdi Igwe is a Graduate Professional with UNIDIR’s Security and Technology Programme, working in the cyber security research workstream. His research interests encompass international cybersecurity and emerging technologies, with a particular focus on developing states in global cyber governance.
He is currently pursuing a PhD in cybersecurity at University College London, where his doctoral research examines the engagement of African actors in cyber norm development processes. Prior to joining UNIDIR, he worked with the Black Policy Institute, where he co-led the Technology and Innovation Research Group.
Chimdi holds a Master of Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering from Imperial College London and previously worked as a network consulting engineer.
He is fluent in English and has intermediate proficiency in French.
