Aleksandra Lankamer
Aleksandra Lankamer is a Graduate Professional for the Gender and Disarmament Programme at UNIDIR.
She has an interdisciplinary background in political science, war and peace studies, social policy and gender studies. She is completing a Master of Science in War and Peace Studies at Leiden University, and holds a Master of Science in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics. She has also pursued a Bachelor of Science at the University of Amsterdam in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics, with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies.
Aleksandra has contributed to the work of several non-profit gender equality movements and organisations through research, outreach, project management and support, as well as partnerships-building. She also co-founded the first student chapter of the UN Gender Equality Movement HeForShe in the Netherlands. Aleksandra’s research focus and interests center on issues related to gender, peace and security, peacebuilding, gender mainstreaming in policy, and civil society participation.
She speaks Polish, French and English.
