Launch of the Middle East WMD Free Zone project

The United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) is pleased to invite you to the launch event of the Middle East Weapons of Mass Destruction Free Zone (ME WMDFZ) Project. The event will take place on Thursday, 10 October from 13:15 – 14:30 at Conference Room 11, United Nations Headquarters, New York. The panelists at the event will discuss this new research initiative, its scope, activities and how it can contribute to efforts to address WMD threats and challenges so as to advance security and stability in the region.

The discussion will be followed by a short Q&A. Lunch will be provided beforehand.
