This invite-only, two-day workshop will cover the current status of both the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) and the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). International and regional experts and participants will discuss questions relating to verification, dual-use technologies and materials, as well as developments in science and technology and their impact on both regimes, especially in the Middle East.
The first day of the workshop (Tuesday, 17 May) will focus on the BWC, while the second day (Wednesday, 18 May) will focus on the CWC.
