Mariam Khotcholava

Mariam Khotcholava is an Associate Digital Communications Specialist at UNIDIR. She is a communications professional with more than 10 years of experience in strategic communications, public outreach and advocacy.

Prior to joining UNIDIR, Mariam worked with USAID Georgia, where she managed digital communications and led nationwide public outreach campaigns. She previously held roles with the United Nations Population Fund and World Vision South Caucasus, supporting strategic communications across a range of platforms and programmes, including website and social media management, content production and digital storytelling.

Mariam holds a Master of Science in Communication from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology from Ilia State University in Georgia. She speaks English and Georgian and is currently learning German.
