Andrea Licata

Dr Andrea Licata is a Fellow at UNIDIR. He is passionate about research on disarmament and has studied international relations extensively, earning both a master’s degree and a PhD in Gorizia, Italy.

Andrea has worked with several research institutions, including the Bonn International Center for Conflict Studies in Germany and the Centre for Global Cooperation Research in Duisburg, where he contributed to a project examining successful cases of global cooperation. He has cultivated a long‑standing personal interest in peace and conflict studies, reflected in an extensive private library on these themes.

Over the past decade, his work has increasingly focused on innovation and sustainability, collaborating with startups and companies and organizing major events in these fields. He is also an active voice on LinkedIn, where he regularly shares insights on global affairs and cooperation. 

He has a strong connection to Geneva, which he considers the capital of global diplomacy and human rights.
