Using perspective to tell your story
In photography, perspective is about the angle, distance, or point of view you choose when taking a photo. Changing your position – even slightly – can completely change how your story is seen and felt by others.
A photo taken from down low can make something look strong or powerful. A photo taken from above can show vulnerability or a broader view. Moving closer to your subject can feel personal, while stepping back can show the bigger picture.
Ask yourself:
- What do I want others to notice or feel in this moment?
- What angle or distance can help share my truth?
- How can I use my point of view to show what gave me strength?
You choose what story your photo tells. Your perspective – both emotional and physical – matters.
