UNIDIR and the Organization of American States (OAS) organized a virtual roundtable marking the English and Spanish launch of a joint publication A Novel Approach to the 11 UN Norms for Responsible State Behaviour in Cyberspace: Guidelines for Gendered Implementation.
The event featured a presentation highlighting key findings of the publication. It was followed by a roundtable discussion exploring how this research can support cybersecurity policy and practices that are inclusive, gender-aware and responsive to people’s needs. Discussants also sought to identify opportunities for integrating gender considerations into the work of the “Global Mechanism on developments in the field of information communication technology (ICTs) in the context of international security and advancing responsible State behaviour in the use of ICTs”.
The event was simultaneously interpreted in English and Spanish.
