Adopting a holistic and context-specific approach, MEAC works to generate the evidence needed to provide tailored and comprehensive support for individuals transitioning from conflict to civilian life, addressing a range of economic, social, psychological, and political needs and aspirations. By supporting the design and implementation of effective reintegration programming, MEAC hopes to reduce the instances of re-recruitment and facilitate full and sustained transitions to civilian life, which is central to larger peacebuilding efforts.
The evidence base generated by MEAC can support interventions along the entire humanitarian-development-peace nexus.
