Tanya Gill is a Graduate Professional with UNIDIR’s Conventional Weapons Programme, supporting the Exploratory Research Cell. Her areas of interest include conventional arms control, misinformation and disinformation, dual-use technologies, and conflict prevention and mediation.


Tanya is completing a Master’s degree in Conflict, Peace and Security from the Geneva Graduate Institute, and holds a Juris Doctor from Queen’s University and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Ottawa.


Prior to joining UNIDIR, Tanya interned at the Centre for Civilians in Conflict, where she conducted research on the cross-section between emerging technologies and the protection of civilians. Tanya is an accredited lawyer and has previously worked as a litigation attorney for a government department in Canada.
