Moritz Hoene is a Research Assistant at UNIDIR’s Managing Exits from Armed Conflict Project.

His research interests include the reintegration of former combatants, psychosocial impacts of conflict and gender dimensions of conflict.

Moritz holds a master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uppsala University and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Asian Studies from the University of Nottingham. Before UNIDIR, Moritz worked as a research assistant intern on a project tracking the post-conflict fates of women combatants at Uppsala University’s Department of Peace and Conflict Research. He was previously a Graduate Professional and Carlo Schmid Fellow with MEAC.

Moritz speaks both English and German.
