WMD Compliance and Enforcement: Lessons for the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC)

UNIDIR is pleased to welcome you to an interactive discussion on WMD Compliance and Enforcement (WMDCE). The event will draw from a series of thematic papers identifying successes, failures and lessons learnt on compliance and enforcement across WMD-related regimes. The side-event will focus particularly on implications for the BWC and discuss the following questions:

  • What has worked well in other WMD regimes, what has been unsuccessful?

  • What can the BWC learn from the successes and failures with compliance and enforcement measures in other regimes?

A light lunch will be provided for participants from 13.00 onwards.
