UNIDIR believes in the power of today’s youth to bring about lasting, positive change in arms control and disarmament. Its innovative Youth Engagement Programme has a strong focus on disarmament and in 2022 has delivered, among other activities: an Online Youth Disarmament Orientation Course and a Global Disarmament Essay Competition. This event launched the Online Youth Disarmament Orientation Course and presented the winners of the Essay Competition and their work.
