This regional seminar brought together representatives from national arms transfer control authorities, ministries of foreign affairs and trade as well as specialized organizations to consider how States can enhance shared understandings and cooperation to strengthen their national end use/r control systems in a practical manner in order to mitigate the risk of diversion to unauthorized end users and/or end uses. This meeting is part of a larger UNIDIR project entitled “Tackling Diversion: Promoting Regional Dialogue to Enhance Common Understanding and Cooperation to Strengthen End Use/r Control Systems”.
