Matilde Vecchioni

Matilde Vecchioni is the Programme Assistant for the Conventional Arms and Ammunition Programme at UNIDIR. Her expertise and research interests include the intersection between new technologies, disarmament and weapons and ammunition management, UN peace operations, and illicit flows of small arms and light weapons. Prior to joining UNIDIR, Matilde worked for the Political Affairs and Partnerships Section at the UN Office at Geneva, as well as for the DDR Section at the UN DPO in New York. She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Political Science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (Geneva) and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from LUISS Guido Carli University (Rome). Matilde speaks English, French, and Italian.
