UNIDIR, in partnership with the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea, will host a Model UN simulation with Geneva International Model United Nations (GIMUN). The event will explore the changing international context for disarmament and its links to the SDGs via a simulation on the topic of space security.
Discussions will touch on topics such as the militarisation of outer space and appropriate legal frameworks to manage this increasingly pressing issue.
The conference will take place on 4-5 May at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
The event is one of a number of projects undertaken with the Republic of Korea to promote youth engagement in the area of disarmament and non-proliferation.
