Tobias F. Sauer
Tobias F. Sauer is a Graduate Professional and Carlo Schmid Fellow with the Managing Exits from Armed Conflict Project at UNIDIR.
His research interests include the onsets of armed conflicts, escalation dynamics and conflict resolution, as well as Europe’s relations to West Asia and North Africa.
Tobias studies International Affairs in a joint dual degree at Sciences Po and Freie Universität. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from Goethe University Frankfurt and a Diploma of French and European Studies from the Institut d’Études Politiques in Lyon.
Before UNIDIR, Tobias worked as a research assistant in multiple projects, most recently on a comparative study on state exits from regional organizations. He further gained practical experience at the German Agency For International Cooperation (GIZ) and across the Middle East.
Tobias speaks German, English, French and Arabic.
