Victoria is a Graduate Professional at UNIDIR’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Programme.

Victoria is a PhD candidate in International Relations at the State University of São Paulo, specializing in the nuclear weapons non-proliferation regime and nuclear-powered submarines. She was a visiting student fellow at the University of Queensland’s School of Political Science and International Studies and a CAPES Brazil scholarship holder during both her master’s and PhD.

She holds a master’s degree in Strategic Studies and a bachelor’s in International Relations from Fluminense Federal University, Brazil. Her master’s thesis earned second place in the MD/CAPES National Defense Theses Contest and received the Tiradentes Prize, while her undergraduate thesis won first place in the IV National Defense Undergraduate Thesis Contest, awarded by the Ministry of Defense.

Victoria works as a Researcher for the Defense Studies and International Security Group and is a selected participant at the Youth Leader Fund for a World without Nuclear Weapons. Her areas of expertise and research interests include foreign policy, international security, nuclear disarmament, verification and WMD. She is fluent in English and Portuguese, proficient in French and Spanish at an intermediate level, and has a basic understanding of Chinese.
