Shimona Mohan
Shimona is an Associate Researcher at UNIDIR’s Integrated Approaches – Gender and Disarmament Programme and UNIDIR’s Security and Technology Programmes. Her areas of focus include the multifarious intersections of gender, security and emerging technologies (in particular AI and cybersecurity).
Shimona holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from the Geneva Graduate Institute in Switzerland, and has previously been associated with the Observer Research Foundation, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and the Government of India. She has published across and beyond her areas of focus and presented her research at various platforms, including the UN General Assembly, UNESCO, the Internet Governance Forum, the Ministry of Defence of India, Prime Time News in India, and academic as well as Track 1.5 defence conferences in the US, Sweden, Denmark, Singapore and Germany.
Shimona speaks English, Hindi, Korean and French.
