Policy portals

UNIDIR’s digital tools to boost transparency and trust.

We offer a number of policy portals that enhance transparency and build confidence in key areas of global security.

Our well-established Cyber Policy Portal (factsheet available) has recently added capabilities for full-text searching of cyber policy documents via the Cyber Policy Portal Database. The UNIDIR Artificial Intelligence Policy Portal extends this model to provide insights into global policymaking in this increasingly important area (factsheet available).

UNIDIR’s suite of digital tools also features a portal that provides insights into policy and governance regarding space security, as well as an online database on national implementation measures of the Biological Weapons Convention.

AI Policy Portal

The UNIDIR Artificial Intelligence Policy Portal is an interactive map of the global AI policy landscape. It provides profiles of the AI policies of all 193 UN Member States, in addition to various intergovernmental organisations and multistakeholder initiatives.

Cyber Policy Portal

The Cyber Policy Portal is a gateway to access national, regional and international policies, tools, instruments and other initiatives relevant to cybersecurity. It also hosts the National Survey on the implementation of the Framework of responsible state behaviour in the ICT domain.

Cyber Policy Portal Database

This database provides easy access to documents referred to in profiles on the UNIDIR Cyber Policy Portal. As well as being downloadable, documents can be searched by State, Type, Intergovernmental Organisation, Topic, Year, Language and more.

Space Security Portal

The Space Security Portal maps the global space security governance landscape by providing profiles of the space security-related policies of all UN Member States, various intergovernmental organisations and numerous multistakeholder initiatives.

BWC National Implementation Measures Database

The Database allows States and other stakeholders to understand and learn from different approaches to national implementation of the Biological Weapons Convention around the world.
