Augustine Ushie
Augustine is a Graduate Professional in the Conventional Arms and Ammunition Programme at UNIDIR. He conducts research and supports efforts to strengthen weapons and ammunition management in Africa and the Americas. Prior to joining UNIDIR, his professional affiliations and work focused on legal and policy issues with the ECOWAS Court, the African Union Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security and the Lex Lata Centre for International Law and Comparative Constitutionalism in Africa.
Augustine is currently pursuing a triple master’s degree in International Law at the University of Glasgow (Scotland, UK), International Relations and Security at the Institut Barcelona D’Estudis Internacionals (Barcelona, Spain), and European Law Advance at Radboud University (Nijmegen, The Netherlands). His master’s research explores the EU-Africa Peace and Security Architecture, migration and global politics.
Augustine speaks English, basic French, Bekwarra, and is learning Spanish.
