Melissa Nyoni

Melissa Nyoni is a Graduate Professional performing cross-programmatic work on Youth, Peace and Security at UNIDIR.
Prior to joining UNIDIR, Melissa worked on Women, Peace & Security and Youth, Peace & Security as an intern for the UN Department of Peace Operations; on sexual exploitation and abuse at the World Food Programme; and on gender-based violence at a local NGO in Tanzania.
Her research interests lie mainly at the intersection of gender, peace and security. She holds a Master’s degree in International Law from Stockholm University and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of London. She speaks English, French and Shona.
