Swetha Ramachandran
Swetha Ramachandran is a Data Scientist with the Managing Exits from Armed Conflict Project at UNIDIR. She is completing her PhD at The Graduate Institute, Geneva where she empirically studies how donor funding practices deepen power asymmetries between international and local aid actors. Her areas of expertise include mixed methods research, primary data collection, data analysis and impact evaluation.
Swetha holds a Masters degree in International Economics and Conflict Management from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a Bachelors degree from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Before UNIDIR, she worked as a Research Consultant for the ILO and UNU-WIDER, and as a Monitoring and Evaluation professional based in Sierra Leone, Lesotho, South Sudan and DRC. Her research has been published in leading policy outlets and academic journals including International Peacekeeping and the Journal of Conflict Resolution.
Swetha speaks English, Tamil, Hindi, French and Spanish.
