The statement condemns and denounces the statements made by the Minister of Heritage in the Israeli Government regarding the use of nuclear weapons against Gaza, the statement violates international humanitarian law. The UAE emphasizes the need to address security concerns and the establishment of an ME WMDFZ. The statement calls for the participation of all regional states and NWS. It highlights that the treaty would contribute to denuclearization and eliminate the possibility of nuclear conflict in the region. It highlights the importance of the NPT and all states of the region should join all WMD-related treaties to implement transparency and build trust. It also highlights the need for strong and internationally recognized measures, which must be established to ensure the compliance of states to nuclear commitments. It highlights the verification system of the IAEA and Additional Protocol and prominent models for effective verification systems. It states that the UAE's vision for establishing a ME WMD is linked to encouraging the peaceful use of nuclear technology and science.
