Barcelona Process adopts a statement calling on states in the Middle East to pursue a WMDFZ

Euro Mediterranean Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (formally known as the Barcelona Process), which included several states from the Middle East, adopted a statement calling on Middle Eastern states to pursue a mutually and effectively verifiable ME WMDFZ, to adhere to international and regional non-proliferation regimes and consider practical steps to prevent WMD proliferation and the accumulation of conventional arms.
