Research and Development for an Evidence-Based Design Tool for Reintegration Programming (Phase III)

01/08/2011

To provide guidance to the IAWG-DDR and to key training programmes on how UNIDIR’s EBD approach can be shared with practitioners, and integrated into reintegration programmes design practices.

Phase III focuses on (1) providing policy guidance on integrating EBD with the IDDRS, so that it may become available to practitioners, and (2) providing recommendations on how EBD can be integrated with the present DDR training programmes offered at NODEFIC (NOR) and the Folkebernadotte Institute (SE).

Researchers: Lisa Rudnick, Derek Miller

Support from UNIDIR's core funders provides the foundation for all of the Institute's activities.
In addition, dedicated project funding was received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Norway.

Phase II: Research and Development on Evidence-Based Programme Design for Reintegration

To develop an evidence-based approach to reintegration programming with the aim of improving local-level effectiveness in post-conflict stabilization and peacebuilding efforts (Phase II of III).

Phase II of this project translates the Framework for Evidence Based Programme Design on Reintegration, developed in Phase I, into a design tool prototype, for use by UN staff and partners.

This research project was carried out from May 2012 to December 2013.
