UNIDIR has been contracted to act as expert consultants to the GGE, providing technical expertise on issues related to space security and the existing governance framework. 

Support from UNIDIR's core funders provides the foundation for all of the Institute's activities. In addition, dedicated project funding was received from the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs.
