Sanem Topal

Sanem is a Graduate Professional at the Conventional Arms and Ammunition Programme.

She holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Bilkent University in Ankara. She has previously worked as an intern at UN Office for Disarmament Affairs and Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. Sanem also worked as a volunteer researcher at Nuclear Information Service in London and published a briefing on the attitudes of non-nuclear-weapon states to the nuclear modernization.

Sanem’s main research interests are military spending, uncrewed systems and arms production, procurement and transfers. Sanem speaks English, Turkish and beginner Swedish.
