Yoshiharu is a Graduate Professional at the Conventional Arms and Ammunition Programme.
He holds a master’s degree in international affairs, majoring in Global Security from the Geneva Graduate Institute, and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Essex.
Prior to joining UNIDIR, Yoshiharu worked at the Joint Inspection Unit of the United Nations system, Small Arms Survey and other establishments. His experience and expertise include misuse of firearms by non-state actors, explosive weapons in populated areas, emerging weapons-related technologies, as well as racism and racial discrimination.
Yoshiharu is fluent in Japanese, Chinese and English.
