Shizuka is a Graduate Professional for the WMD Programme at UNIDIR.
She is a master's candidate for Nonproliferation and Terrorism studies at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Her research focuses on the Humanitarian Initiative and Japan’s nuclear policy. She is a member of UNODA #Leaders4Tomorrow program led by #Youth4Disarmament initiative, and Comprehensive nuclear-Test Ban Treaty Organization Youth Group.
Previously, Shizuka worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies. She has experience interning at United Nations Institute for Training and Research and nonprofit organizations in Hiroshima and New York.
