Practical Steps Towards Nuclear Disarmament

28 April 2014, New York, USA

The action plan adopted at the 2010 NPT Review Conference calls on member states to make progress toward further reductions of nuclear arsenals. This side event presents a number of immediate practical steps that will help advance the cause of nuclear disarmament—increasing transparency of the existing nuclear arsenals, creating a framework for elimination of weapon usable fissile materials, and preventing the spread of sensitive nuclear technologies.
