Informal Consultative Meeting on Options for Harmonization of End Use/r Control Systems

9 July 2015, Geneva, Switzerland

UNIDIR held an informal consultative meeting on 9 July 2015 with arms industry and related association representatives on end use/r controls. The meeting aimed to explore industry perspectives on end use/r control systems, their experiences, as well as the challenges faced, in order to promote shared understanding on measures to strengthen end use/r controls to prevent diversion.

The project is expected to contribute towards supporting the practical and effective implementation of the Arms Trade Treaty and the UN Programme of Action, as well as various other global and regional instruments.

Support from UNIDIR's core funders provides the foundation for all of the Institute's activities.
In addition, dedicated project funding was received from the UN Trust Facility Supporting Cooperation on Arms Regulation (UNSCAR).

This conference is part of the project Tackling Diversion (Phase II): Promoting Regional Dialogue to Enhance Common Understanding and Cooperation to Strengthen End Use/r Control Systems
