Applying Small Arms and Ammunition Guidelines in Conflict-Affected Areas: Lessons Learned and Tools for Solutions

26 October 2015, New York, USA

The objective of this side-event is to share lessons learned and potential solutions in the use of international guidelines and standards on arms and ammunition management, in particular in conflict/post-conflict settings. The event aims to increase awareness among stakeholders on key challenges and opportunities related to providing practical guidance on arms and ammunition management in the field, and to share concepts and prototype tools that could help support field practitioners to manage the full life-cycle of arms and ammunition in line with the ISACS and IATGs.

This conference is part of the project International Small Arms and Ammunition Guidance Platform (ISAP II): A Platform to Explore Options to Strengthen Arms and Ammunition Management
